Even though Friday is the last full day of camp, the activities did not slow down a bit. Campers had one last opportunity to participate in polar bear fishing, which takes place at dawn, well before the rest of camp wakes up. Other morning and afternoon activities consisted of various forms of paddle boating and canoeing, volleyball and basketball, Teams Course, flip flop art, and archery.

With Wednesday being such a long, action-packed day, campers and staff were allowed an extra hour of sleep Thursday morning, but once everyone was up, it was right back to camp activities!

The heavy rain on Wednesday morning was not going to keep us from having another great day at camp. Each Wednesday of camp has traditionally been the busiest, as it consists of the fire apparatus parade, lunch with Camp “I Am Me” supporters, donors, and volunteers, appreciation presentations, and the Fun Fair.

Tuesday morning dawned rainy and cold, but the sun soon shone over Camp “I Am Me.” Right after breakfast, campers reported to skill periods. Laughter was heard from the tent as campers learned how to tye dye.

Monday morning started early for swimmers and fishers. Wildlife sightings were the story of the day. A doe and her fawn have frequently been crossing the paths into the woods. Ken Brinker and his woodcraft class witnessed a mink doing some fishing in Fish Lake.

On a beautiful, clear, windy day, the excited volunteer staff welcomed campers back to a new year of Camp I Am Me. 71 campers arrived by bus and car and quickly made their way through the check-in line, meeting their counselors and cabin mates, and settling into their cabins.
