The studio hopes to cultivate a love for ceramic arts\, help more artists grow with the equipment they need and create a bigger market for makers to sell their pottery\, dishes and other ceramic work. \nInferno is co-owned by burn survivor\, Alyssa Noonen. Alyssa has spent time with Camp I Am Me by volunteering as a counselor for our Summer Camp and as a mentor at Strive to Thrive: Beyond the Burns Young Adult Retreat. \nThis Family Day we’ll bring Camp I Am Me families together to have fun\, engage\, and support one another\, but we’ll also widen our circle to include supporting Alyssa’s artistic business endeavor through our gathering at Inferno Clay Studio. \nEach attendee will have a chance to engage their creative genius to paint a handmade mug. Keep it for yourself or give it as a gift. \nSpots are limited. Registration maximum is 5. Must be 10 years of age or order. First session will be at 12:00pm. Challenge yourself to an aerial adventure alongside other Camp I Am Me families. \nWhile this activity is amazing it is also a physically demanding experience with uneven ground\, multiple staircases\, some that spiral\, skybridges that sway\, and of course the ziplining itself for two hours. \nFirst session will be at 11:30am. SUMMARY:World Burn Congress Scholarship Application Deadline (Covington\, KY)
DESCRIPTION:The Phoenix Society’s World Burn Congress is an annual international conference that brings together more than 900 burn survivors\, their families\, care givers\, burn care professionals\, and firefighters. \nIt is a forum for encouraging and facilitating the sharing of stories\, providing support and increasing knowledge of burn recovery. For many it is the first opportunity to meet and share with others who have experienced a burn trauma. \nThis year’s conference is taking place November 12-15\, 2025 in Covington\, Kentucky.  \nThe Camp I Am Me scholarship covers the costs involved in participating in the three-day World Burn Congress conference. This includes conference fees\, travel accommodations to and from the event\, and lodging. \nQualifying applicants must reside in Illinois in addition to being either a burn survivor\, parent of a burn survivor\, or a family member/caregiver that has had their life impacted by the burn or is involved in the recovery of the survivor. Applicants under 18 years of age at the time of the conference must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (separate application must be completed). In addition to admission tickets\, additional details are currently being worked on to enhance the experience for our burn survivor community and family members! \ntickets are limited to 6 per family. Please be considerate when selecting number of attendees. \nRegister Here! \nThe Camp I Am Me Family Day events are no-cost support programs available to burn survivors of all ages and their family members*. \nThe events provide opportunities to socialize with other burn survivors – young and old\, adult peer support to assist parents and caregivers\, and time for families to spend with others overcoming similar challenges – all while enjoying various family-friendly activities in a fun atmosphere. Many of the programs include admission tickets\, events\, special activities\, and family goodie bags. \n*Family Day is available to burn survivors and to their immediate family members (parent/spouse/siblings/children & caregivers).
