Camp “I Am Me” Blog – Sunday, June 20th

What a fantastic start to the 30th gathering of young burn survivors from across the state and beyond. Campers began arriving this afternoon, and after some heartfelt reunions, we quickly jumped back into some favorite camp traditions!

Events & Activities

Warm Welcomes, Great Jams, Old Friends Reunited, Self-Expressive Posing, Bingo, Camp Songs, Secret Handshakes, Uno, Father’s Day Presentation, Fishing, Pool Swimming + Swim Tests, Campfires & S’mores.

Meals

Campers arrived after lunchtime today! For dinner: Tacos, spanish rice, beans, steak & potato/corn chowder soup, brownies. For the evening snack, Italian ice.

Weather

Overall the weather held out for our camper arrivals! Some rain on and off throughout the day, but not until everyone had arrived safely and found their cabins! Comfortable!
