Another wonderful morning at camp! Very few clouds in the sky and relatively low humidity, which was good because the temperatures sneaked into the low 90’s in the early afternoon. Water and Gatorade was distributed all over the campsite at all the activities from our Snack Guy, Robert. Today’s theme was the 1950’s and a handful of our counselors never disappoint, dressed like they were going to bebop all night long! New this year, music will be played at breakfast, lunch, and dinner – highlighting whatever decade we are in. Today, campers settled into the week’s routine, getting to know their fellow cabinmates and counselors. As usual, for those earlier risers, Polar Bear Fishing and Swim Lessons were available to anyone who cared to wake up an hour before the rest. We had a few takers! Campers have the opportunity each day to do either early-morning activity or wait for the wake-up bell to start the day. Rocky Raccoon has started snooping around the cabins. Rocky reports back to the Officer of the Day about the cleanliness, or lack thereof, of the cabins. Points are awarded each day and the cabin with the most points at the end of camp receives the Rocky Raccoon Award for cleanest cabin!
