Family Challenge Day Wall Climbing (Peoria)
April 26
Join us for a Family Challenge Day at First Ascent in Peoria. This is world-class indoor rock climbing at its best with walls up to 50 feet tall.
This will be a two-hour climbing program in a dedicated space with friendly instructors and special guests from the Peoria Fire Department!
All climbing gear will be provided but please dress in comfortable, stretchy athletic clothing. Pants or long shorts that cover the knees to protect them from scrapes. Must wear socks. Be sure whatever you wear you won’t mind sweating in. First Ascent waivers will need to be completed.
First session will be at 1:00pm. If additional registrations are received, an additional session will be added.
Event tickets are limited to 6 per family. Please be considerate when selecting number of attendees.
Camp I Am Me Family Day events are no-cost support programs available to burn survivors of all ages and their family members*.
The events provide opportunities to socialize with other burn survivors – young and old, adult peer support to assist parents and caregivers, and time for families to spend with others overcoming similar challenges – all while enjoying various family-friendly activities in a fun atmosphere. Many of the programs include admission tickets, events, special activities, and family goodie bags.
*Family Day is available to burn survivors and to their immediate family members (parent/spouse/siblings/children & caregivers).
