Tonight, cabins had their own campfires with s’mores, and we had guest astronomer Geza Guyek from Adler Planetarium speak to everyone about our solar system, and the Lake County Astronomical Society brought several high powered telescopes for the campers to view star clusters and planets.

Curious Campers:
Questions asked of Astronomer Geza after his presentation: What is Dark Matter? Why do the rings on Saturn remain? Why isn’t Pluto a Planet? Why do the storms on Jupiter never stop? What was the first planet? What are Asteroids and Meteors? And … Is there life on Mars?  The curiosity of out campers was truly Out of This World!

Big Thank You’s!:
Adler Planetarium, Lake County Astronomical Society, Paramedic Services of Illinois, Great Wolf Lodge, Paul Davis, Cardio Kids, the many other volunteers who assisted us with the crafts under the grand tent, and all of our camp volunteers who make the magic happen!
