IFSA Seeking Volunteer Award Nominations

The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Board of Directors is looking for your help!

Since 2015, the IFSA has been acknowledging deserving individuals and groups for their priceless contributions in volunteerism and service with the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance in the form of “Above & Beyond” Volunteer Awards. You can help us honor these special individuals by nominating them for an award. Eligible nominees must be an individual or group that has demonstrated excellence and has an honorable commitment to volunteer service, has a role in advocating for the IFSA in the local community, and has provided an outstanding contribution to the IFSA’s efforts. Each year at the Donor & Volunteer Recognition Breakfast, awards are presented in the following categories: Individual Award, Youth Award, Team Award, and the Caper Brown Lifelong Achievement Award.

Please take a few moments to review the award descriptions and think about the many volunteers you know from the IFSA who are deserving of recognition.

Award Categories

• Individual Award – Nominees in this category are individual volunteers who help advance the mission of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance.
• Youth Award – Nominees in this category are individual volunteers under the age of 18 who help advance the mission of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance.
• Team Award – Nominees in this category are volunteer organizations, agencies, educational institutions, government entities, businesses, and informal groups who help advance the mission of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance.
• Caper Brown Lifelong Achievement Award – Nominees in this category are volunteers who have demonstrated significant dedication to advancing the mission of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance over the course of at least 15 years.  Their voluntary contributions may have been made through an ongoing commitment to one or multiple IFSA programs, events, and/or services.

Submit your nomination online by December 31st. 2023’s Donor & Volunteer Recognition Breakfast will take place on Friday, March 10th at Medinah Shrine Center in Addison.
