Rockford Fire 911 3K Run (Rockford) – Fundraiser

June 1

The Rockford Fire Department welcomes you to participate in the 20th Annual Rockford Fire Department 911 – 3K Run/Walk.

This event was formed to bring Fire and Medical prevention education to our community. 911 is symbolic in alerting your emergency and allows us to educate adults and children with its purpose. As you notice, our start time also carries the same significance (9:11am).  Proceeds are utilized to educate our community in fire prevention, safety, and risk reduction. Many age groups from toddlers to senior citizens will benefit from our programs. Rockford Fire has direct contact with over 60,000 people per year and reach many more through the use of social media and public service announcements. Rockford Fire utilizes many training aids to provide fire and medical education to our community.

In addition to fire safety education, part of the proceeds of this event will be used to fund Camp I Am Me’s Summer Camp. The CIAM has held this special and unforgettable camping experience for young children who have sustained burns, providing them with a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere to help build their self-confidence and self-esteem. We thank you for your support.
