World Burn Congress Scholarship Application Deadline

The Phoenix Society’s World Burn Congress is an annual international conference that brings together more than 900 burn survivors, their families, care givers, burn care professionals, and firefighters.

It is a forum for encouraging and facilitating the sharing of stories, providing support and increasing knowledge of burn recovery. For many it is the first opportunity to meet and share with others who have experienced a burn trauma.

This year’s conference is taking place October 4-7, 2023 in National Harbor Maryland.

The Camp I Am Me scholarship covers the costs involved in participating in the four-day World Burn Congress conference. This includes conference fees, travel accommodations to and from the event, and lodging.

Qualifying applicants must reside in Illinois in addition to being either a burn survivor, parent of a burn survivor, or a family member/caregiver that has had their life impacted by the burn or is involved in the recovery of the survivor. Applicants under 18 years of age at the time of the conference must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (separate application must be completed).
