Camp I Am Me is excited to announce the dates for 2024 Summer Camp! The 33rd annual “Burn Camp” will be taking place from Sunday, June 16th to Saturday, June 22nd at YMCA Camp Duncan in Ingleside.
Camp I Am Me, the renowned summer camp for burn survivors, is excited to announce its upcoming Winter Party. This no-cost, end-of-year event is designed to bring together current and past participants of the Summer Camp program, as well as the entire burn survivor community.
Camp I Am Me sent two survivors and one caregiver to the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors World Burn Congress which took place at National Harbor in Maryland, just across the Potomac from Washington, D.C. from October 4-8.
Camper Tayvon and I had the incredible opportunity to attend a burn camp organized by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). It was a week filled with amazing experiences, from visiting fire stations and historical landmarks in Washington, D.C., to bonding with fellow survivors and exploring new friendships.

Camp I Am Me’s Summer Camp is Illinois’ camp for young burn survivors which provides a special and unforgettable one-week experience for approximately 60 children a year.

Camp I Am Me has been providing a scholarship opportunity to burn survivors and their family members from Illinois for numerous years. The scholarship covers the costs involved in participating in the four-day conference including conference registration fees, travel accommodations to and from the event, and lodging.
