Last Day of Camp!
Early risers got to participate in the 2nd Annual Rocky Raccoon Run. It was still cool out, so perfect time to get some exercise and run through the camp on the mile-long path. Runners and walkers were greeted with cheers and a medal at the finish line, along with Rocky Raccoon high-fives.
The temperature increased today to low nineties so the message that has been repeated at every morning meeting was the same, continue to hydrate and use sun block.
Events: Activities for the day included archery, basketball, Teams course, and Zip Lining as well as a last chance for horseback riding. Counselors in Training continued to host some challenging activities for campers.
After lunch activities included the waterfront, pool and splash pad, as well as beads and bracelets, canvas painting and rock painting under the big tent and a special visit from Hip Hop ConnXion who taught campers some cool dance moves prior to the dance and hair and makeup help was also made available for those who felt they needed some.
Meals: Breakfast was pancakes and sausage along with cereal, yogurt, bagels and fresh fruit available every morning. Lunch was individual pizzas, carrot and celery sticks, with the salad bar always available at lunch. Dinner was Chicken fajitas with black beans, tortilla chips, salsa and all fixings with marinara sauce, broccoli, garlic bread and apple sauce with a salad bar available at every dinner. Dessert was brownies.
Weather: Hottest day yet with more bright sun. Temps in low 90’s..
